A cleaning company informed the editors of Service Management that they are raising their prices next year. It involves an indexation of 3.2 per cent.
The increase is based on a rise in the health insurance premium and salary increases in line with the cleaning collective labour agreement. The collective labour agreement expires in June, but it still agreed on an increase of 1% for the end-of-year bonus and a salary increase of 1.5%. In addition, based on predictions by the Central Planning Bureau, the cleaning company expects a wage increase of up to 1% from 1 July 2021 following the negotiations for the new CBA.

Effects corona and supplier price increases
The organisation explains that they have also been hit by the corona crisis over the past year. Consider the loss of work and rising staff costs due to attrition. However, these cost increases are not included in the price indexing, as they hope they will decrease again during the coming year. additional costs due to increased purchase prices for toilet paper, towel paper, rubbish bags, etc. are also not passed on by the cleaning company.
All in all, the indexation at this cleaning company remains just below the provisional price index figure set by the government which, through CPB's rate calculation, arrives at an increase of 3.24% for 2021. The price increase is also well below the 5.5% estimated rate increase for the cleaning industry.
