Cleaning now among crucial occupations
Following Prime Minister Rutte's press conference, the central government on Monday evening presented another list of crucial professions that may use childcare. That includes cleaning, provided it is an essential facility support.
It literally reads the document: “Indispensable facility or support functions (think cleaning, security, surveillance, ICT) serving one of the above crucial professions.” Think of those crucial occupations as healthcare, public transport, childcare, media and communications, police and defence.
In own locations emergency accommodation
In a message following the press conference, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment informed that schools and BSOs provide emergency care for children of parents in crucial occupations at their own locations during school weeks. “They do this during their normal opening hours. They also provide childcare to children for whom customisation is needed due to special issues or a difficult home situation. During the Christmas holidays, BSOs with a holiday schedule offer emergency childcare to vulnerable children and children of parents in crucial professions who are already clients of the childcare organisation.”
