The Breed has commissioned a sector analysis within the Maatwerkregeling Duurzame Inzetbaarheid en Eerder Uittreden (MDIEU) scheme. This scheme stems from the Pension Agreement. The sector analysis was made by SPDI and produced an interesting report.

The analysis includes a description of the characteristics of the sector. What the trends are with regard to employment. And it describes what the work hard work makes and what the consequences of that are.

Based on the sector analysis, several activities will be carried out over the next six months. To this end, the RAS has applied for a subsidy from the ministry SZW.

The aim of the activities is for employees to stay healthy and enjoy working until retirement. Research is being conducted on strengthening employees' self-direction. Information material is being produced on physical strain. And information material specifically aimed at the work of window washers & façade cleaners and employees in reconditioning. Because there are many on-call shifts in reconditioning and this is stressful for employees, research is being done into the recovery time after on-call shifts and what can be done to make it less stressful. Finally, a platform is being developed where information on sustainable employability can be found in a fun and clear way.

In addition to the above activities, employees will be allowed to stop working earlier because the work of cleaners and window cleaners is a tough profession. CLA parties have already agreed on this. Click here for more information.
