Glass cleaner hospitalised after flyering in residential area
Two window cleaners were quite beaten up by about 20 men in Vaassen on Thursday, 11 March 2021. The occasion was a flyer campaign with which they were trying to attract new customers. This apparently fell wrong with local residents.

Police reported that a group of 20 people were fighting with each other. Speaking to The Stentor police spokesman Jop Heinen explained that the brawl had already ended when the police arrived. Therefore, an appeal has been made for witnesses to come forward. The police also hope that people who took pictures will share them.

Wounded

Two men, presumably window cleaners, were injured. One of the persons was taken to hospital by ambulance. No arrests were made.

Flyers

According to the police, several witnesses reported that the brawl started after a flyer campaign by window cleaners. The spokesperson confirmed this and stated that it is being taken into account in the investigation. On the field where the incident happened, dozens of blue flyers from the window cleaning company are still lying around, said The Stentor.

Besieged

One of the eyewitnesses stated that the two window cleaners were soliciting customers and that this is not tolerated in the neighbourhood. The window cleaners were besieged by about seven men. Eventually, the group got bigger and bigger. One of the men was beaten with stones and a stick. The other window cleaner managed to flee into a house, where the windows were shattered afterwards.

How the window cleaners are doing now and what company they work for is not known.
